THIS LIST IS A WIP. THERE WILL BE EVEN MORE TIPS IN THE FUTURE.

Some users are either new to editing articles or inexperienced with it, so to help them out, here is a list of tips to improve your skills with writing articles.

General

If you believe something you want to include is extremely obvious, it's best if you don't add it in. (If there's a big crusher in the middle of the path in a level, don't state that it can kill the player.)

Featured Level Articles

Refrain from adding/doing the following

Repetition (Frequently starting sentences with the exact same phrase such as "You will _________")
Speculation (Assuming the player will do something according to how the level is supposed to be played. For example, "The player will ride the ramp over the mines and reach the other side." Also, if something has happened, don't write that another event has or may have happened if any previous events did not explicitly explain otherwise.)
Second-person point of view (For instance, the sentence, "You are instructed to press one of the 3 buttons." should really be "The player is instructed to press one of the 3 buttons.")
Instructing the reader to so something (These articles are supposed to describe what's there, not tell the player exactly what to do. Try to avoid writing things like "Hit the button on the right.")
Referring specific items by their level editor names if said items have different names (Sounds weird to say, "A Segway Guy NPC (Someone who was temporarily given the name "Dexter" in the level) is carrying a blade weapon (trident).")

Good Example - This article does not contain too many of the mentioned oddities.
Bad Example 1 - This article uses 2nd point-of-view, instructs the reader, refers items by level editor names.
Bad Example 2 - This article uses 2nd point-of-view, contains speculation, is overly repetitive, and refers one item by its level editor name.
