A London-based 'digital play production partner' for a primarily corporate clientele such as the BBC and Cartoon Network, Jim most probably initially approached Goodboy circa late 2018 for help in porting Happy Wheels from its original Adobe Flash incarnation to Javascript. Judging from the credits, only a small core team of five were and currently involved in the active development of the JS port. The five of them are as below;
There is a very distinct possibility that Happy Wheels Javascript was made with partial elements of, if not in its entirety, their open-source project PixiJS, a WebGL renderer envisioned to enable Flash developers to transition easier to HTML5 development, with a rather Flash-inspired API. Amongst other works done for the JS port, it should be noted they have also gone as to replicate the box2D physics engine so the quirks of the original are by and large retained, some of which can be seen at Popular Glitches.
