Gameplay[]

Unlike most of the other featured levels, 'APPLE SHOOTER' does not contain a lot of gameplay, as the main character does not get to move. In the level, you control a bold man, who wears an orange jacket, grey-green trousers, black shoes, as well as a pair of sunglasses and a Santa hat. The person also has a bow and a single arrow as his weapon. The man stands atop a grey block, with a chair next to him. On the block is some information about the weapon you are holding, including the amount of damage, weight, rate of fire, and ammunition capacity. To the left of the grey block is a white column with a decorated Christmas tree, sitting on top of it.

To the right of the block (as well as the centre of the screen) is a red box that gives information about the controls: "Space" is to begin; the up and down arrow keys are to aim the bow and arrow up and down, respectively, and the "shift" button is to shoot. What you shoot is a small apple that is on top of another man's head. The man (a painter) is standing on a golden column to the right of the screen. A health bar is also shown over him. Your task is to try and shoot the apple off the painter's head, without harming the painter himself. If you do injure the painter, he will fall off the golden column with all his health rapidly depleted. Red text will then appear on top of the golden column reading "TAB + R", prompting you to retry the level.

If you hit the apple, a countdown will begin. After the countdown is over, text saying "HUNGARY" appears, referencing where the creator lives, and you win the level.

Trivia[]

  • According to the official Fancy Force Twitter, Jim made this a featured level because he liked the aiming system and the "absurdity" of the level.[1]
